Wild Walk Celebration

July 12th 2025.

We had an end of project celebration held at Bevendean Community Garden. The celebration brought together people who had enjoyed the walks, some of the guides, along with an opportunity for the local community to find out more about the walks.

Seb from Urban Forage gave a mini foraging walk, Cooking Good in The Community made a delicious vegan Chilli for everyone, and we were serenaded while we ate with songs from the South Downs Folk Singers.

Wild Walks is a project supported by the National Trust and the Changing Chalk Community Grants Scheme, and funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery Players. Our funding for walks this year has ended, but we hope to be running more walks soon. If you are interested in joining future local nature events and finding out about more Wild Walks, please subscribe to the mailing list or follow our Facebook page.
